Minimum eligibility requirements for CSP
On May 01, 2025, Microsoft announced minimum eligibility requirements for CSP indirect reseller partners.
Starting from October 01, 2025, indirect resellers must meet the following requirements:
- Pass the Vetting procedure in the Partner Center (Legal Info). Your Verification Status should be shown as Authorized;
- Sign a Microsoft Partner Agreement. You can verify that it is signed by clicking on the link Agreements.
- Show at least USD 1,000 in CSP transactional revenue during the preceding 12 months;
- Designate a security contact within Partner Center;
- Enable multifactor authentication (MFA) for all administrative users in their CSP tenant.
ATTENTION! Microsoft recommends that users with administrative roles in customer tenants use MFA. This may become mandatory at any time.
Terms: Requirements must be met by the anniversary month of partner’s onboarding as a CSP indirect reseller.
If the requirements are not met within the specified timeframe, the reseller's customers must be transferred to a new reseller that meets the requirements.
You can find the original Microsoft letter here.
To help you meet the vendor’s requirements, we are sending you a video with a detailed explanation of how to enable MFA in the M365 Admin Center and what activation options are available.
