Content AI, a developer of document automation solutions, has released ContentReader PDF 16, a feature-rich PDF editor with a built-in AI assistant. The solution is designed for the enterprise segment and enables document analysis and processing using generative AI within the organization’s perimeter.

The updated ContentReader PDF 16 retains a full set of PDF tools: high-accuracy recognition and editing (including scans and images with at least 99.8% accuracy), object and data removal, conversion to multiple formats, as well as adding watermarks, electronic signatures, and password protection. Documents can be recognized in any language. The enterprise version allows comparison of documents in different formats and languages without prior conversion and supports automated batch processing.

Special attention in the new version has been given to user experience. The interface is now more intuitive, lightweight, and modern. The layout of tools is clear and easy to navigate, allowing both new and existing users to adapt quickly. Common tasks — such as editing text, working with forms, and annotations — can now be completed in just a few clicks.

The key innovation of ContentReader PDF 16 is the AI assistant, which helps users find relevant information and summarize content.

The solution supports a Q&A mode: users can ask questions about document content and receive precise answers. For example:

  • “What are the contract termination terms?”
  • “What are the parties’ details?”
  • “How should contractor payments be processed?”

The AI assistant also indicates the source section of the extracted information, enabling verification.

Additionally, the solution offers document summarization. Upon request, the AI assistant generates concise summaries of multi-page reports, contracts, and other materials, significantly reducing analysis time.

The AI assistant is especially useful when working with large documents such as contracts, financial reports, technical and tender documentation. It helps lawyers quickly locate clauses, accountants extract figures from scans, managers review proposals, and engineers navigate project documentation efficiently.

The AI assistant operates via a server-based component integrated with a large language model (LLM). The solution is deployed within the company’s perimeter, ensuring local data processing and strong data security. The built-in Qwen2.5 model supports 29 widely used languages, including Russian.

“PDF software has evolved from simple viewers to powerful recognition and editing tools. ContentReader PDF 16 takes this to the next level by enabling users to work with the meaning of documents,” said Svetlana Dergacheva. “We introduced AI capabilities to reduce routine work and improve productivity. Specialists can save up to 80% of their time on search and analysis tasks thanks to intelligent features.”
